In order to provide the International Baccalaureate Educator Certificate (IBEC) which is a prerequisite for teachers to work in the IB schools  Hasan Kalyoncu University Faculty of Education has been autorised by the IB organisation as of December 2018 and the legal contract has been signed. This certificate program, which is a first in our country, accepts in-service teachers and the students of the education faculties. In the end of the three months of theory and practice,  this IB-approved certificate will open a new horizon in their careers.

With this program, teachers focus on six-disciplinary themes of global importance, focusing on the development of children of the first years of education (PYP) designed for students aged between 3 and 12 years, as individuals investigating, both in the classroom and the outside world. they will be able to internalize all the details of the program, which are flexible and adapt to the requirements of most of the national and local curricula, as well as the knowledge and skills derived, as well as the use of interdisciplinary skills that place a strong emphasis on inquiry, and be prepared to pass on to the classroom.
